New Years Eve 2008 - The One Million Dollar Goal!

So my name is Brendan, and I've been excited about the idea of writing a blog for ages and now I've just completed my first sentence. Awesome! The object of this blog is pretty simple. It's the 31st of December 2008, I turned 27 just over a couple of weeks ago and in less than 24 hours a New Year starts and I have one, and only one New Year's resolution...I'M GOING TO MAKE A MILLION DOLLARS!

That's right kids, I've made a firm, unwavering decision that from right now, (it's 1:55am 31st December 2008 in Sydney, Australia) until 11:59pm December 31st 2009 I will make $1,000,000.00. (one million dollars) Hence the name of the blog. One year, 12 months, 52 weeks, 350 something days - 1 million dollars. That's my goal! I'm going to get my million dollars on. In case you are wondering here's what a million dollars looks like:

Very Nice! I'm hoping to use this blog partly as a fun motivation tool for me but also as a journal or sorts to keep an account of everything relevant that happens along the way. I want to write about all actions I take and resources I tap to reach my goal, and talk about the ideas, thoughts and concerns I will have. This isn't the $100,000.00 blog and for good reason so I'm sure there will be lots of unforeseen challenges ahead waiting like ninjas hiding in the shadows ready to strike, and I am sincerely looking forward to laying a smack down on them. I smoke ninjas.

Much love goes out to all the people in my life that I like, without whom this most probably wouldn't have been possible. This blog is a celebration of you, but that does not mean your getting any of my money. I am blessed beyond words with the love of friends and family that I have around me and I am without a doubt the richest guy in the world in this regard. But now has come the the time to also become financially rich, to set myself up so that I can just enjoy life and do what makes me truely happy without having to do that silly hard work thingy that everyone seems to find so important. Sigh. So without further ado, let's make some fucking money!
